Tarot is a tool for self-knowing and a conversation with your inner landscape. A way to remember that the things you’re feeling — your hope, grief, anger, restlessness — are not strange or wrong. They’re human and you’re not alone in them. In 2022, I decided to start hand drawing my own deck in order to deepen my understanding of the cards. I completed the project in 2025, launching the Open Spaces Tarot Deck. Each card in the deck was drawn in pen and ink as a simple, intuitive line drawing. I wanted to bypass the inner critic, to trust what came through, to not overwork or overthink. The imagery is grounded in the natural world and is my reflection on the idea that we can be softened by seeing ourselves more clearly. That intuitive art can be enough. This project has been a practice in trust. I’m so excited to offer it to you.
